Why Hellllooo There New Friend...
I'm Abby- a nutrition guru, cooking enthusiast and fitness junkie.
I have been studying health and nutrition for 10 years (BS Biological Sciences from UIC), working full-time in fitness and wellness management for five years and now I am currently in the process of becoming a Registered Dietitian. I am a blogger via ‘thebalancedblend’ and owner of ABS.M.Fitness. Aside from the industry as a career I am also a NQ NPC bikini competitor, triathlete since my late teens, avid race runner, long time competitive swimmer and current member of the '52 Hike Challenge.'
I discovered my joy for both fitness and cooking at a very young age; pretty much was raised into both for that matter. However I did not put the two passions directly together until my mid-twenties in pursuit of life balance.. being able to "have my cake and eat it too" you could say. ;)
Now my love for the gym and kitchen go hand in hand. I find so much fulfillment in is forming delicious, mostly paleo or plant based, healthy recipes to share with my clients, family and friends! Cheers and enjoy! :)
